News : President of South Korea Visited PT. Busana Prima Global I, in Bogor , in His Political Visited to Indonesia on March 6, 2009.
President of South Korea, Mr. Lee and His Wife Mrs. Kim Yoon –Ok, conducted His Politial visited to Indonesia on March 06, 2009 until Sunday ( March 08, 2009). In His visited to Indonesia, President of South Korea scheduled to special visited to The Best Companies who South Korea owner in Indonesia. One of the best companies is PT. Busana Prima Global I, in Bogor.
On Saturday (March 07, 2009), President of South Korea visited PT. Busana Prima Global around 2.30 pm. Visited a State President to PT. BPG I, welcomed with Closed Security and Guarding. According to workers, the plan visited of President of South Korea to factory have informed a week before it by management to all workers.Management asked to all workers to working as good and result the best quality, because PT. Busana Prima Global as one of the best garment companies who South Korea Owner in Indonesia is have good quality and as be able to increased Export.
In President’s visited to PT. Busana Prima Global Closed Guard by Presidency’s Guard and Intelligences and Jurnalist from South Korea as well. The visited welcomed by Mr. Jae Han Park directly as President Director of PT. Busana Prima Global and all the Management factory. Beside that followed 10 the best South Korea Entrepreneurs from 10 the best Garment Companies in Indonesia.
After the welcome spoked, Mr. Jae Han Park showed Le Coq Sportif Jacket as one of the best quality and product is produced by PT. Busana Prima Global. Then, President Lee visited to department-departemen (sections) of Factory as well and met with some workers who did their works.
In a day President Lee’s visited to PT. Busana Prima Global, the working atmosphere changed drasticly is pictured that working condition within factory is better and human. But Pity, President Lee did not dialogue with workers. About 4.00 pm, President of South Korea, Mr. Lee, finished His visiting and leaved the Best Company is Korea Owner.
Fact : PT. Busana Prima Global as the Best Company in Indonesia have workers who working in Worn out condition and Violated Freedom of Association.
PT. Busana Prima Global is garment company as South Korea owner which employed about 2000 person workers who majority is Women Workers. This company producing Sportwear for Europe Market. With many Brand such as : Le Coq Sportif, Ping Collection, Surridge, SOT Oliver, Hagar, Jack Wolfskin.
In Mid 2003 ago, PT. Busana Prima Global was Dismissed to 170 workers because Formed Union. With Violated of Freedom of Association it, PT. Busana Prima Global have Big attention from International Campaign is demanded Buyers and Factory management to Respected and Implemented Freedom of Association for all workers without intimidation and retaliation to workers who joined and become a Union members.
Working condition in this company does not better than previous year. One of work system is worn out and still conducting in this factory is work system “Gorol”, where the workers who did not get production target, have to finished their production target altought they working over 7 hours, and over the work hours did not payed.
Beside that, on year 2007, 2 union leader (SBGTS-GSBI) was dismissed by management because only they sent letters to Buyers related with working condition and asked regarding order in PT. Busana Prima Global. According to management, Both Union leader of SBGTS-GSBI has made The company’s good reputation was befouled and have consequence decrease order in factory because Buyer declined their orders.
In Fact, order in this factory never been decreased in fact brands and kind product is producing at factory more increase. The dismissed action to Both Union Leaders of SBGTS-GSBI is real shape that PT. Busana Prima Global still did not accepted and recognized SBGTS-GSBI as one of workers union within factory. If SPN as one of union at factory have facilities from management, but management still rejected to give facilities for SBGTS-GSBI. if SPN could be have chance to carry out union activity freely during working time, management still carry out hampered and limited for SBGTS-GSBI union leader to followed union activity (if GSBI invited them to followed Training or union meeting).
If President of South Korea give appreciation and His Proud to Mr. Jae Han Park as Owner of PT. Busana Prima Global because can keep increase Quality and Export successfully. Should the workers is get appreciated from President of South Korea not Mr. Jae Han Park or factory Managers. Because the workers who made Sportwear and have the Best Quality and give profit to the company and keep Buyers Trust to PT. Busana Prima Global.
If President of South Korea give His Appreciation to PT Busana Prima Global as one of 10 the best garment companies who Korea owners in Indonesia because be able to increase Export and have best quality. Did Mr. Lee as President of South Korea still have proud and give appreciation to Mr. Jae Han Park, if He know that PT. Busana Prima Global have Violated Workers Rights and Freedom of Association violation ????
