Hameem Sports Wear Workers going for Symbolic Hanger strike Next 20th November 2014. National Garment Worker Federation, NGWF and Hameem Sports Wear Worker Union jointly declared about the programme on 18th November 2014 in a press conference at Shahid Asad Auditorium, Dhaka.

NGWF President Amirul Haque Amin read the written statement. Worker leader Md. Kamrul Ahsan, General Secretary Ms. Safia Parvin, Central Leader Nurun Nahar, Md. Faruk Khan, Md. Rafiqul Islam Rafiq and Hameem Sportswear Worker Yeasin, Shirin, Md. Kamal, Ms. Sakhina, Mukta  also keep their speeches.

According to the press cenference, Hameem Sports Wear Limited, which is located at 171/1  Tejgaon, Dhaka- 1208, closed their factory illegally from October 13, 2014. As a result, more than 400 workers have become unemployed and all of them are passing inhuman life. Written complaint was submitted to the president of BGMEA on 14.10.2014.Written complaint was submitted to the State Minister of Labour Ministry on 20.10.2014.Written complaint was submitted to the Commerce Minister on 20.10.2014.Written complaint was submitted to the Commerce Secretary and Labour Secretary on 20.10.2014.Sit in strike was staged demanding to re-opening Hameem Sports Wear Ltd Immediately or pay full lawful compensation to the workers on 14.10.2014 & 23.10.2014 in front of BGMEA.Memorandum  submitted to the State Minister of  Labour Ministry on 28.10.2014.Press Conference held on 03.11.2014.President of  National Garment Worker Federation (NGWF) directly talked with BGMEA President on 16.10.2014 and State Minster of  Labour Ministry, Labour Secretary on 23.10.2014 to resolve the problem.

A rally, procession and sit in strike was organized demanding to re-opening Hameem Sports Wear Ltd Immediately or pay full lawful compensation to the workers in front of National Press Club on 07.11.2014. But is it really heartbreaking that no solution came out yet. Later NGWF President Amirul Haque Amin presided  a  rally & procession on13.11.2014  at 11 am infront of National press Club, Dhaka  and then the rally started for Honorable Prime Minister's office to submit the  memorandum. But towards the expedition in high court junction Kodom Fowara police make barrier and workers beaten by the police. Some workers injured physically.

Then, In leadership of  NGWF  General Secretary Ms. Safia Parvin a delegation team of 6 members submit the memorandum to Honorable Prime Minister's office through facing of opposition from the police administration. But till now there is no solution. (red)
